The LWZ.2 is a cine lens designed for use with digital cinema, film or HDSLR cameras. It has all the optical qualities that are characteristic of Zeiss, with a high contrast, excellent sharpness, very few chromatic aberrations and excellent performance against flares. Its minimum focal length of 15.5mm and small footprint make it well suited for use in confined spaces requiring a wide field of view. Its range of focal length and light weight makes it ideal for shoulder or steadicam work.
Exotic glass materials and the T* XP anti-reflex coating ensure a sharp, high resolution image that covers the entire Super 35 frame (but not Full Frame sensors). It perfectly matches the look and color of all our other ZEISS cine lenses – Ultra Primes, Super Speeds, Standard Speeds & CP.2’s. The 9 aperture blades provide smooth out-of-focus highlights. This parfocal zoom provides an angle of view from 40 to 90 degrees and it has a 114mm front diameter. The mount can be either PL or Canon EF.
